Review Rules

Reviews and ratings help the Budna community trade with confidence. These Review rules form part of the User Agreement. Reviews are public.
Budna Marketplace AB · Effective from November 1, 2025 · hello@budna.se · Updated Sep 15, 2026

1. Who can review

1.1 You may review a counterparty only in connection with a real transaction you took part in on Budna, on the terms in section 2.

2. How we verify reviews come from real transactions

2.1 Every review on Budna is tied to an order between you and the counterparty in our systems, and you can leave one review per counterparty and listing. A buyer can review the seller only once the buyer has paid for the purchase through Budna. A seller can review the buyer once the buyer has paid, or where the buyer did not pay in the cases set out in 2.2.
2.2 A seller may also review a buyer whose auction win, accepted offer or binding Buy Now purchase was closed unpaid under the Payment Terms: because the seller closed the order after the payment deadline had passed, because the order closed automatically (at the payment deadline for an auction win or a binding Buy Now purchase, and after 6 days for an accepted offer), or because the buyer cancelled the order. A binding Buy Now purchase is one the buyer confirmed before paying, after choosing delivery and seeing the total. This applies only where the order gave rise to a non-payment fee or a buyer cancellation fee that has not been waived. A seller cannot review the buyer on any other cancelled or lapsed order, for example a Buy Now reservation (where the order is only created when the buyer starts paying) that was not paid, or an order the seller cancelled. A buyer can never review the seller on an order the buyer did not pay for.
2.3 We do not publish anonymous reviews or reviews that are not tied to an order. Budna may remove a review where the underlying transaction was fraudulent, was refunded in full because of fraud, or is otherwise invalid. A seller’s review under 2.2 is not removed merely because the order was cancelled, since such orders always end cancelled. Budna may remove it if the fee is waived.
2.4 Each review is shown with the reviewer’s account and whether the reviewer was the buyer or the seller. A review is marked as verified when the order between the two parties had been delivered or completed when the review was written. Other reviews, such as a seller’s review of a buyer who did not pay, are shown without that mark. We do not pay for reviews, and sellers cannot filter or hide genuine reviews. Writing a review can count towards achievements in the app, whatever rating the review gives. Receiving five-star reviews counts towards the reviewed user’s achievements.
2.5 This section describes whether and how Budna ensures that published reviews come from people who actually took part in the transaction, as required by Article 7(6) of the Unfair Commercial Practices Directive 2005/29/EC (as amended by the Omnibus Directive (EU) 2019/2161) and the equivalent Nordic implementations.

3. Honest and relevant

3.1 Reviews must be honest, based on your own experience, and relevant to the transaction (the item, its condition versus the listing, communication, payment, shipping, and the overall experience).
3.2 Do not post content that is false, misleading, defamatory, abusive, discriminatory, or that reveals another person’s private information.
3.3 A seller’s review of a buyer who did not pay must stick to what happened with the order, for example that the buyer did not pay or cancelled the order. Do not speculate about the buyer’s reasons or finances.

4. What is not allowed

  • Review manipulation: buying, selling, exchanging, or incentivising reviews; posting fake reviews; or reviewing your own listings via another account.
  • Retaliatory or coercive reviews: threatening a negative review to obtain something, or using reviews to pressure a counterparty.
  • Irrelevant content: promotions, spam, links, or off-topic material.
  • Off-platform disputes: using reviews to air matters unrelated to the transaction.

5. Moderation

5.1 Budna may remove reviews that breach these rules and may act under the Budna rules against accounts that undermine the ratings system.
5.2 You may report a review you believe breaks these rules via support@budna.se.

6. Corrections

6.1 You are responsible for your reviews. You may update a review to reflect a resolution, but you may not delete a review to evade these rules or in exchange for benefits.
